Granny laced up!
Patricia Tabram, 66, a grandmother of 2 will face the Newcastle Crown Court jury on charges of cannabis posession with the intent to supply

When the police raided the bungalow of  the grandmother from East Lea, Hexham, they found 31 cannabis plants growing in her loft, cultivation equipment and 17g of the drug in her kitchen. After several court appearances she has decided to face the court saying "I am pleading not guilty as  want to be heard in the crown court."
Patricia became creative in the kitchen with the cannabis,  she baked biscuits, laced casseroles and cooked soup. Ms Tabram started using the class C drug in an effort to combat her neck and back pain, "I will not stop medicating with it because it far better than any tablets you can get from the doctor."
In her campaign for the rights to possess cannabis she delivered a letter to Blair asking for the drug to be legalised on medical grounds. It is her belief that "It is a herb and I want people to call it a herb- it is no different to sage, thyme or rosemary". She also took part in the Cannabis Education March and Rally in Trafalgar Square, central London.
The police were notified of her hobby when savory smells drifted into the environment.Patricia has no regrets about her habit, she continues to consume cannabis in food five times a day, five times a week and has begun to cook various savory snacks for her neighbours. She has decided to share her story with her book 'Grandma Eats Cannabis', look out for it coming to a store near you soon!
