The case concerning the dispute over the content of the novel, 'The Da Vinci Code' written by Dan Brown and published in 2003 has been ended, and the final verdict is to be decided over the course of the next few weeks.
Brown, 41 has admitted to having read the 1982 non-fiction novel, 'The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail' but denies the claim that the hyptothesis for the historical text was copied and consequently used to write his highly controversial novel.
Random House, the publisher of both novels is being sued by Baigent and Leigh, the historians who caim that the original concept of 'The Da Vinci Code' was directly copied from their book.
The lawyer representing the accussing paty in the case implied that the evdence given by Dan Brown should be 'approached with deep suspicion' and suggested that the American author had not been co-operative.
The presiding judge Peter Smith has reserved judgment in the case, and hopes that it will be settled bfore Easter.
