Nuclear Reactor Shutdown!
Investigations into nuclear reactor fault of B-7 power plant in hunterston which shut down late on sunday.
At 23:00 on sunday 11th June 2007, one of the two nuclear reactors in Hunterston nuclear power station in Ayrshire faulted and needed to be shutdown, after engineers found potential problems.
Investigators are currently working hard to find the source of the problem due to temperature controls. British gas was only just given permission to restart the plant last month after repairing cracked pipes. the hunterston B power pant reactor has been shut down for most of this year; needing parts to be replaced.
