SEARCH FOR FATHER CALLED OFF.
The search for the father of a two year old boy who was found in the English Channel has been called off.
The body of the 2 year old boy was found 1 mile off the English coast yesterday afternoon near Little Hampton, West Sussex. The search for the father of the boy has been called off, local coastgaurds believe that it is fairly unlikely that anyone woud survive the cold waters of the English Channel.
The two year old boy was reported missing by his mother yesterday. 10 minutes before the young boy was found, an empty dinghy was spotted floating on the sea by passers by in a yacht. The dinghy was retrieved by coastguards 1 mile off the coast and contained nappies and children's armbands. The rescue team contained a lifeboat, helicopter and sniffer dogs. Sussex police and ambulance joined the teams.
Medics tried for 2 hours to save the boy's life but he was pronounced dead at Worthing Hospital, West Sussex.
Although the search has been called off inquiries are being followed through.
