Over the the last few days the Turkish Sea Patrol has been involved in the detainment of 274 Illegal Migrants. The Migrants have come from places like Africa, Iraq, Pakistan and the Palistinian territories.
The Migrants were found on boats off the coast of Turkey in the Aegean Sea. People all over the world are trying to use Turkey as a passage into Greece in order to travel to central or western Europe every year.
Since the start of 2007, 1800 Illegal Migrants have been stopped and detained by the Turkish Coastguard.
