Jade Goody has taken a public holiday to India in an attempt to extinguish rumours that she is a racist. Disgraced Goody, who shot to fame in the first series of Big Brother, where she displayed a ridiculous lack of general knowledge, has been publicly chastised for her central involvement in the race row that enveloped the recent Celebrity Big Brother series.
In the series, Jade mocked Indian contestant Shilpa Shetty's accent before referring to her as "Shilpa Poppadomado". Her actions drew disgusted responses from the general public, and the story even reached the House of Commons.
However, despite a seemingly vast wealth of indisputable evidence, Goody denies that any of her actions were racist, and hopes that her trip will help to restore her image.
