The grave of ancient warrior Boadicea may have been discovered under a McDonalds resturant!
The grave was found next to the Drive-thru restaurant in Kings Norton - Birmingham. Archaeology digs have uncovered Roman artifacts which archaelogists think may have been at the location of the famous battle between Boadiceas army and the Romans.
Local councillor and archaeologist Peter Osborn "this spot is on the route to Metchley, the Roman fort in Birmingham and its for this, if no other, that we think there is where the battle commenced"
The Romans were marching from Anglesey when they were met by Boadiceas Army coming up from London. Records of the battle say it took place in a hilly area surrounded by trees which would match the area which by the McDonalds site.
New plans to build an apartment have been delayed whilst a full excavaution of the site is undertaken.
