Businessman jailed for selling cannabis
39 years old businessman from Devon Kevin Williams was jailed after selling cannabis while on bail.
Kevin Williams was sentenced by Exeter crown court to 6 years imprisonment for supplying cannabis while awaiting trial for possention and intent to supply cannabis.
The police raided his flower firm and while there they found containers of cannabis buried with the flowers on sale plus more containers hidden in his office.
he was on his first trial for possention of cannabis in 2003 because the police searched the same firm and found four containers containing hundreds of plants.
his second possention was in 2005 when the police again searches his premises and found more cannabis hidden.
Defence council Rupert Taylor said that williams began growing cannibis because he needed money or he was going to lose his business and home.
