Inzamam Cleared!!!
As Inzamam is found guilty of bringing game into disrepute, he is reprimanded with a four match ban
After the tribunal hearing concerning the troubling events that consumed the cricket world, Inzamam Ul Haq has been cleared of ball tampering, but despite this fotunate turn of events for the Pakistan cricket squad, he was found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute.
As a result of this conclusion, the player has been disciplined with a four O.D.I. ban, the smallest possible reprimand for the charge. This is not the first such incident of its kind between the ICC and Inzamam. An alarming total of eleven counts against the rules of cricket. During the hearing, the ball in question was examined by an expert, Simon Hughes, who deemed the ball to have possible signs of tampering, however there was not enough evidence to fully substanciate Hair's claims.
This incident has again brought into question Hair's fairness to all races in the game, after he was the first to accuse Muttiah Murialitheran of being a "chucker".
The cricket world has been quick to condemn Hair, however those who are not "jumping on the band wagon" have stated that he is a good and honest umpire who conforms completely within the cricket laws and should remain a respected umpire and should not be criticised for following something that he fully believed in. Despite this the outcome remains a victory for pakistan.
