Green Light for the Reds
Anfield is the past as Benitez looks to new stadium to build gargantuan future.
Liverpool are one step closer to a brighter future with developing plans for a new 60,000 capacity stadium. The plan was given the full go ahead after a £9million grant from the European Union Objective One, the money will be spent on refurbishing the area around the Stanley Park site.

Liverpool received the money after assuring the £180million funding they needed for the entire project was in place. The city council acclaimed a 999 year lease on the site of the new stadium which is 300 yards away from the current stadium Anfield.

The European money will not be spent on the new stadium, but on schemes surrounding it including the creation of a series of shops on the sight of their current Anfield home.
