Companies able to bid for partnership in 2012 Games
Timetables and processes for companies to become partners of the Olympic and Paralympic games in 2012 were announced today.
Businesses will have the oppurtunity to become partners in the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. The companies will be chosen from 6 catagories and 6 major partners will be chosen.
The six catagories are; banking, insurance, utility services, oil and gas, automotive and telecommunications. The banking and insurance catagories will be the first to have the oppurtunity to bid for partner status, in October 2006, companies in the other catagories will have the oppurtunities in the next few months.
The companies chosen will have a unique oppurtunity to become major partners and have marketting rights to the 2012 Olympic games. A company can only have an association with the Olmpics if it is chosen as an official partner.
The first successful companies are expected to be announced by March 2007, giving companies six years to get the most they can out of the association with the Games.
