Ball tampering cleared
The fourth cricket test was brought to a halt when Pakistan's captain, Inzamam-ul-haq, was accused of ball tampering. As a result of this, the umpire and the Pakistan captain have both received bans from the International Cricket Council.

On the 20th of August Pakistan played England in a cricket match. It was the fourth test when Pakistan's captain, Inzamam-ul-haq, was accused of ball tampering by the australian umpire- Darrell Hair. Before play resumed Inzamam refused to allow his team to participate further as he believed that Hair was an unfair umpire (resulting in the first forfeit in test history) and that his accusation had been based on false grounds.
After a disciplinary hearing at The Oval in London, the international cricket council found Inzamam innocent of ball tampering however banned him from participating in four one-day matches as a result of bringing the game to disrepute.
The council also agreed that the umpire, Darrel Hair, should be banned from being involved in the ICC champions trophy in India.
Speaking publically Shaharya Khan (chair of the Pakistan cricket board) said that Hair should not have been allowed to officiate in a Pakistan match due to long-term friction between the team and the umpire: "It was a time bomb waiting to go off, we had a problem with his attitude. We did not have a problem with his ability."
The ultimate question is, Should we be allowed to question the umpires decision and if the umpire is wrong then who is right?
