Wenger is the Gunnfather
With a phenomonal 565 matches under his belt, Arsene Wenger is soon to celebrate his tenth year as manager for Arsenal Football Club.
In early October, 1996 Arsene Wenger became manager for the North London-based football team - "The Gunners". Ten years on and Wenger remains the leader of one of the best teams in the world. This week, Wenger, former Grampus Eight boss, has been promised a "Job for life".

Wenger has proved to be an extremely influential manager, leading his team to many victories inlcuding the 2-0 win against Porto, earlier this week. As well as this, under Wenger's management, Arsenal has won the FA Cup four times, three Premiership titles and two European titles.

His dedication and commitment to the team has resulted in admiration from the players. "Wenger's guidance has made me the player I am", says Fabregas, mid-fielder for the club.
On October 14th 2006, Arsenal are set to play Watford, this match being the marking point of Wenger's ten year management of the team.

Not only do his team have much respect for him, Wenger has also made a grand impression upon the other Premiership managers. "His track records have been fantastic; where Arsenal were to where they are now has come on leaps and bounds" says Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce.
