The parents of bullies have been given a choice to attend parenting classes or to pay up to a £1000 fine. This measure aims to decrease the amount of bullying taking place in nearly every school in the U.K. Hopefully this new law, introduced by the government, will help prevent bullying.
Truancy is becoming a problem as more and more children are not attending school as they are afraid to face up to a bully, because of this the government is planning to recommend that teachers could use reasonable force towards these bullies, which can prevent any harm towards the victims as it will also reduce the amount of truancy.
Research has also showed how bullying has affected as many as one in five youngsters!
Schools minister, Mr Knight said, " No child should suffer the misery of bullying online or offline and we will support schools in tackling it in cyber space with the same vigilance in the playground", the parents of victims strongly agree with this and strongly believe in stopping their child being bullied.
