Two illegal passport factories have been raided with a total of 22 people arrested.
The police raided 13 addresses across London in a bid to crack down on illegal passport trading and suppliers. Raids were carried out as far apart as Ilford and Bermondsey. Police also seized £40,000 along with false passports, foreign identity documents and British driving licences.Terrorists are among groups that use fake passports and other fake identities to travel in the world without getting caught.
Many of the 22 held were from South America especially from Brazil.the immigration minister said "This operation shows our shared determination to tackle organised crime that accounts for as much as three quarters of illegal immigration into Britian"
