Today it was unveiled that it would cost £2.5m to create such a powerful scanner.Scientists say that it could be a breakthrough in Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and blood clots.Scientists say they are tremondously excited about the potential of the scanner, which uses new technology called fast field-cycling MRI.It is said that it will produce images that will give important information about disease processes at an earlier stage.
