Teenagers steals £6m in cash box robberies
TEENAGE thugs are switching from street muggings to robbing security vans,
Officers are investigating a wave of cash raids carried out by youngsters.In the last 12 months, they say £6.5million has been taken in 515 snatches in the london area.In one raid, a boy 14 grabbed £20,000 from a van in east london on his way home.A police source said:"he had a rucksack on his back witch his school books in it when he grabbed the money and ran off."

Flying squad boss Det Supt Sharon Kerr said:"word has gone out that it's an easy crime to get away with. They just snatched the bag and ran off."
police believe the advice to security Guards not to fight back if they are attacked has sparked the rise of incidents.
