Trio face questioning over 7/7/05 bombings
Three men arrested in connection with the 7/7/05 bombings.
Last Thursday three men were arrested in connection with the 7/7/05 bombings, which killed 52 people and wounded 700. They were arrested on suspicion of acts associated with terrorism. Two of the men were arrested while trying to fly to Pakistan from the Manchester Airport, whilst the third was arrested in his house in Leeds. All three of the suspects were taken to the Central London Police Station were they are to be questioned at a later date.
The police had been investigating last year for possible suspects in connection with the bombings. They say they have not found anyone else in connection with the bombings. The Government said the four bombers were most likely led by Mohhamed Sidique Khan who was said to be the oldest in the group. Two of the bombers had been attending training camps in Pakistan in the time before the bombings and are suspected to have militant links there. The explosives used were believed to have to be used by a experienced bomb user.
