Police watched as prisioner was snatched from van
Yesterday a prisoner who was being escorted in a van to a magistrates court was taken by three men just 21 yards away from the court. As he was being kidnapped he screamed "DON'T LET THEM TAKE ME".
Aaron Williams was dragged out in to a silver Vauxhall Zafira by men wearing balaclavas.
All three of the men came arrived at 7.50am. They came to the back of the court gates which are located on Adelphi street. As the van entered the gates the tyres were popped and then the driver was punched.
As Williams was being dragged a female police officer was threatened. After a while Aaron Williams was taken and bundled away into another veichle which was about 40 to 50 meters away in Kay Gardens.
Another person who was being transferred to the police station, said that it was a scary attack and that it was very upsetting and shocking to see the driver being punched in the face.
The people who are responsible for this incident said that this is a very serious incident that has happened.
